I don't think I noticed it as much with child number one. Maybe because I knew we'd have a second baby. But last night, while I was sleeping in my bed for the first time without my Little Man I could feel my heart breaking. Parenting a toddler is bittersweet isn't it? Two days ago we took down the Princess Castle Bed that my daughter almost never slept in. We put up a newly redone wood bunk bed in it's place. This is the summer of transition. We've co-slept with both of our kids. It hasn't … [Read more...]
Our Potty Training Experience
I documented our experience with potty training my Princess quite frequently four plus years ago. It was a long transition for our family. I bought her a fun pink potty chair when she was 18 months. I had high hopes and expectations of potty training. But you know what? My daughter wasn't fully potty trained until she was 34 months. Yep, no more diapers or Pull-ups at 2 years old and 10 months. What a long ordeal! I learned a lot and even wrote an entire post with "10 Potty Training … [Read more...]
Chasing Kids on Scooters is Exhausting!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Reebok. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. My Princess has taken out her new scooter this week. She got it for Christmas but has been a little nervous about riding it. I talked her into practicing slowly at first and within 30 minutes she had it down. We brought it with us to the RV. It really is the perfect riding toy for RV life since it can … [Read more...]

Technology for the Mom Who Misses Scrapbooking
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Blinkbuggy. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating. I was once a scrapbooker. I loved it. In fact, I still have a closet full of baskets that are full of scrapbooking supplies. {You know the one I keeps saying I need to clean out and organize. Yes, that one...} But after kids, I found that scrapbooking is not as easy as it once was. So then I moved to digital scrapbooking. It was fun. … [Read more...]
Is My Toddler Ready for Potty Training?
My son is 22 months old and the past month has been showing signs of being ready for potty training. I have been putting off this potty training thing a bit because honestly, my daughter was ready this early and I didn't think he'd really be. Plus, life is busy with the homeschool, travel, and the blog. Really busy. But the biggest reason just might be that I want him to stay a baby. Terrible, isn't it? How can my little baby be such a BIG Boy already? {It goes by fast, doesn't … [Read more...]
Gig Harbor, Washington For Young Kids
On Friday, my family will be heading down to Gig Harbor, Washington for my husband's work. We'll be staying in our 5th wheel travel trailer until the third week of May. We were down there last week getting settled, and really loved it. I can't wait to take both kids out and about and get to know an area that we were otherwise unfamiliar with. We've already joined the amazing, new local YMCA and signed the children up for classes {they both will be in swimming lessons}. But I wanted to … [Read more...]
