This time of year life just feels so much more busier. Here in the Long house we just finished our 6th week of homeschooling Kindergarten. We are flying out of Montreal back to the States and I am so excited to be heading home. We have fun traveling, but truly there is no place like home. We are not home long before we head out to Denver, CO. This time we are staying in a one bedroom hotel suite that has an indoor pool, internet, cable TV, and free breakfast each day. We are all excited about … [Read more...]

Flying to Quebec
We are flying to Quebec next week. Our next seminar will be outside of Montreal. You might remember that we were there one time before and shared about our visit to Mont Royal which is a great place to visit if you are even in Montreal. We now travel 5 times a year with my husband's job. He works with a local church in each city and provides free seminars on the Bible for the community to learn more about God. We are in each location for a little over a month. It is fun for our family to … [Read more...]

Visit Montreal–Biodome
In 1976, Montreal hosted the Olympics. {I like to tease my husband how long ago that was, since he was born that year!} The Olympic Park is now a great place for tourists to visit. In the Olympic Park is the Biodome de Montreal. The Biodome features 5 Ecosystems of the Americas. Though expensive {it cost us $35 for two adults and one child}, and small – the Biodome was the perfect family fun day to have with a 3 year old. The Tropical Rainforest, our favorite ecosystem to visit, was humid, and … [Read more...]
Visit Montreal: Mont-Royal
While we are visiting Montreal we took a visit to Mont-Royal.Thankfully the parking meters were in English as well as French (this is not the case in all of Montreal). Walking in this green, serene, and beautiful park was a big highlight of the week for me.The smell of wet grass, trees and bushes was overwhelming and sweet. It reminded me of fall weather and most especially of home in the Pacific Northwest.Though, Montreal is a big city this piece of it, makes you feel like you are in the woods … [Read more...]
