Not as fun as my husband talked it up to be, but we did it. {It was just hot and humid so I think my opinion was a bit negative because of that.}
We drove to the Metro station, bought 2 tickets and rode the subway downtown to visit the underground city in Montreal.

With about 19 miles underground, we only visited the mall {which had 5 floors!} and ate at the food court. My Princess HAD to have Subway. {Yes, we rode the subway and she ate at Subway.} The hubster and I tried a bit more variety though – Greek for me, and Japanese for him.
While walking around to all the stores, the only place I actually purchased anything was at Dollarama. {Yes, I know, I am probably the biggest cheapskate around.} The loot? Coloring books and a travel pillow for my Princess. {We are exciting aren’t we?}
Not just any coloring book either, but a color-by-number Farm Animal coloring book. We colored a page each after we got home and I will admit to it – I had a lot of fun doing it. Plus, at $1.50, you just can’t beat the educational entertainment. {Can you say lazy mom version of homeschool preschool?}

As we were coming up from the Metro, to the land of fresh air and sunshine, my Princess said, “That was so cool, mommy!”
So yes, our day underground was worth it.
