Children’s Ministry: The Lords Prayer Bible Craft Bracelet

March 2, 2017 By LaVonne

This week I taught a lesson on Disciples at our twice a month Adventurer Club. I have about 30 kids in grades 1-4 that I teach two Tuesdays per month. The Disciples lesson also covers The Lord's Prayer. With 30 kids, I like to have a variety of options for teaching. I prefer to set up three tables (or stations) and divide the kids evenly. We finished our Disciples Lapbook at one table. The second table featured a simple handprint prayer craft (above). This handprint craft teaches kids how to … [Read more...]

25 Painted Rock Ideas for Kids!

October 12, 2016 By LaVonne

We've been hiding painted rocks in our local community again. The kids love it, and it gives us mamas an excuse to get outside and walk. I recently bought a FitBit, and I am constantly trying to beat other moms and get the most steps. In case you missed my previous post about painted rocks, it's simple: find or start a Painted Rocks club on Facebook. You just have to paint rocks, hide them, post on FB what they look like and a hint where they might be hidden. The kids like hiding and hunting … [Read more...]

Toilet Paper Roll Pumpkin Craft

October 26, 2014 By LaVonne

My Little Man was sick the last few days. Which means, with the hubby in Tacoma for work I was stuck inside with the kids. You'd think I would have gone crazy, but we kept busy. One thing we did was some crafting. We scoured Pinterest for some ideas and I found a few examples of toilet paper Halloween crafts. I didn't want to make a "scary" toilet paper craft but thought a pumpkin toilet paper craft was a fun idea for my Princess. Step 1: Measure width and length of orange construction paper … [Read more...]
