Well the last two days my Princess has been in a mood. She cut her foot on the bathroom stool and got her first canker sore. After a night of tossing and turning, she woke up and wanted to watch some Treehouse cartoons. {You know the ones that drive me crazy?} So I let her. While cleaning up the bathroom and making the bed, she ran in. In such a hurry, she threw open her dresser drawers and said quite impatiently, “I need my skirt!” Of course I asked why she needed her skirt. She gave me that … [Read more...]

Living In a Skirt
My Princess' Top 10 this month:Skirts: We brought two skirts here to Canada. She wants to wear them every day. Literally. The reason? So she can dance and twirl of course.Sandwiches: My parents visited us soon after we arrived. My mom likes "bologna" (vegetarian) with pickles, tomatoes and lettuce. So now, my Princess eats the same sandwich everyday since. Really.Color It By Numbers: I got this app for free to review and giveaway. She wants my laptop now all the time so she can "paint". That’s Not Candy
sourceRemember when I told you about my Princess' first ear infection. We went to our doctor this week while we were home, and her ears are fully healed.Thank you, Lord! While we were there, the Princess had to go to the bathroom. I want one!"Daddy laughed and said they were prophylactics (why did he use that word?) … [Read more...]
Bed Bugs
Actually it was a gigantic spider hiding under the bed in the spare room. While building a fort, the hubby saw a very big spider. He came out of the room with our Princess, located a shoe and went back in with a mission: Get rid of that spider. Once the Princess figured out what his intentions were, she ran into the room to stop him. “No that’s my friend!” she yelled. (I was reminded of Charlotte’s Web in that moment – a favorite movie of hers.) Distracted by his daughter, he missed with the … [Read more...]
Pretend Sign
I am not sure why, but my husband brought in my Princess’ scooter. She is not allowed to ride it in the house, especially the guest house we are staying in. So bringing it in here has proven to be a temptation too strong for the Princess. After getting in trouble for trying to ride it (she told me she was in a race), she motioned to the empty wall and said, “The sign says you can only race with a scooter, no running.” I replied, “Well, you can’t read, it actually says ‘No riding a scooter in … [Read more...]
What is a Superhero
At church this weekend there was a baby. A cute little baby girl with chubby cheeks. The Princess loved her.At the potluck lunch, the grandma of that cute baby girl asked my hubby if he knew how to click her car seat in the base and put it in the car. Of course, though it has been a little while, the hubby of mine remembered. He bravely battled the terrible rain that was coming down (this is the Pacific Northwest, people!) and installed the base in the grandmother's car.My Princess wanted to go … [Read more...]
