Thank you NewKideo for sponsoring today's post. My daughter LOVES Ms. Frizzle and her class in The Magic School Bus DVDs. I enjoy watching them with her too. They are fun and very educational. I have even heard of homeschool parents using them to supplement Science time at home. On July 30th two new The Magic School Bus DVDs were released: In a Pickle Revving Up The Magic School Bus: In a Pickle Ever wonder what's behind a peculiar smell? Handprint Easter Chick Preschool Craft

March 24, 2013 By LaVonne

handprint craft

This week we read a story about a grandmother and granddaughter who were feeding the chickens. The hen just had chicks and the granddaughter could not see them under the wings. Grandma explained that the momma chick protected her little chicks under her wings when they were frightened, or when it was cold. She then shared a Bible verse from Psalm 91 - which my Princess and I are learning this week: He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings... Psalm 91:4 NLT We … [Read more...]

Living by the beach, it is essential to have watercolor paint, especially when you have a preschooler.  Truthfully, we all love to water color paint. Do you like to water color paint? This last week, we had fun looking around Pinterest for watercolor ideas that we could replicate. We want fun, pretty and simple ideas for watercolor painting. We came across these two amazing ideas: Watercolor Party from The Handmade Home Watercolor Valentine's from Nest of Posies Using these two ideas as … [Read more...]

Preschool Rhyming Game: Pop For Rhyming

February 6, 2013 By LaVonne

We are working on rhyming in our Preschool Homeschool. My Princess loves to try to rhyme. Sometimes her rhyming is not so good. For example, she might say that whale and water rhyme. So one way we are teaching her to rhyme is by using games. Pop For Rhyming is a game from Learning Resources that we love. It is compact, easy, and fun - a great combo for our traveling busy family. We are playing level one of this game currently. Spin, remove the number of bubble cards, and rhyme with … [Read more...]
