One very nice thing about traveling around the country together is we get to experience all of the local fun. Here outside of Tulsa there is a great recreation center with a fun pool. We have purchased a card with 10 passes and the grand total for each trip is only $2.20 each. That is some cheap fun!The Princess loves the pool here and so do we. The kiddie pool area is the first time she has been able to play and touch the bottom of the pool. My hubby and I take turns doing laps so we get … [Read more...]
Affectionate Child
It is so cute to watch my Princess interact with the other children at our current seminar in Oklahoma. The pastor's wife is the teacher, and she is also a 2nd grade teacher in the local school district. The kids are doing well during the story and craft time, and surprisingly my Princess is not doing too bad either. For only 2 years old, she really is beginning to sit still, be quiet and listen. That is promising. She has found two new friends. The pastor here has a 5 year old boy and a 2 … [Read more...]

Staining Your Deck
This is a long process when you DIY. Luckily, I am blessed with a hard working husband. He did all the work - and it took him about 15 hours! But now, we have a beautiful deck and front porch.First, he cleaned the wood with a special solution, spraying and scrubbing for hours. Then, he applied the stain so beautifully. The result? A beautiful deck that we cannot wait to eat on this summer. Now we need to put together our patio table and chairs and get lights and plants set up.Below you can see … [Read more...]
Hide and Seek
So, now that my Princess understands the game Hide and Seek really well, and she hides when she goes number two - we now have a lethal combination. This week, while my husband was working in the garage (he is such a hard worker!), I was in the house cleaning up after breakfast. When I couldn't hear my Princess for a good length of time, I began to wonder if she was getting into some trouble. Silence usually equates to doing something she is not supposed to. I put down my towel, and started … [Read more...]
Toddler Speak
I am the interpreter now for the Princess. Most of the time no one can understand her. So they turn to mommy. She has so many cute little phrases. I wanted to share a few with you all."Mommy, Go?" - It is not always mommy, but when she says this phrase she is asking where I am."Hide and Seek Boat" - We walked passed an old boat this weekend that was covered in tall grass. Therefore, it was a hide and seek boat. Since she learned to play that game, anything that appears to be "hiding" is a hide … [Read more...]
Getting Rid of Bees
Inspired by a blog about the bravery of mothers, I decided to share my own harrowing experience. (*Rolls eyes*)We are having a bee problem. Weird bees too. Big, black, buzzing, lethargic bees. They are in all of our window sills, behind the blinds, difficult to reach. They are also having trouble flying. When you see them on the carpet, you can only be disgusted and pray that you will not step on one with a bare foot.So when my husband was gone this week and we were having this HUGE (7 bees!) … [Read more...]
