This is a sponsored post with Adams Natural Peanut Butter. All opinions are mine alone. Has your city jumped on board the idea of a Painted Rocks club? It's simple: paint rocks, hide them, post on FB what they look like and a hint where they might be hidden. You can also go out for the day and simply hunt for painted rocks. It is so much fun. We have two community Facebook groups near us where you can post your painted rocks and found rocks. The one for our island is active, but I've … [Read more...]
How We are Getting Back Into Our School Routine
This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. This is back to school week in the Long House. My daughter is very nervous and uncertain about a new classroom and teacher. My son? He doesn't care either way. He's not scared this year, thankfully. It will be his second year of preschool. His final year, in fact. He literally cannot wait until he is in Kindergarten, in the same private school as his sister. That will be the only year that … [Read more...]
Tips on Finding the Right Life Insurance
The legendary songwriter and Beatle John Lennon was famous for saying, “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans.” Allowing the unexpected happen adds to the richness of living, but at the same time, one should be prepared for unforeseen circumstances that can impact one’s family. Multi-Functional Writing Desks that Get the Job Done
Without the right tools, it can be difficult to do our jobs well. An uncomfortable chair or wonky writing desks makes doing anything at the computer for longer than 20 minutes a huge pain. You’ll come up with a hundred different reasons to be away from your desk, and this makes your work suffer. And let’s be real: it’s no help if our office furniture is ugly. Working at a huge faux oak writing desk is almost as depressing as working in a cubicle. If you’re nodding your head in agreement with all … [Read more...]
We Travel. I Need Quality Silk Plants Only.
We travel quite a bit in the summer. Which is fun, but having a back yard garden and having indoor live plants doesn't work well with our lifestyle. I'd love to have both at my home, but instead, I visit our local organic farm for fresh produce, and I decorate with silk plants. Do you decorate with silk flowers? Here in Washington state, we have great lavender fields. We've also planted some lavender plants in our front yard (those are more hearty and don't need as much care as a garden). … [Read more...]
