RAGAMUFFIN: The Life of Rich Mullins

This summer I have been turning down many movie review requests for this blog. I am trying to free up time this summer with the family and honestly, we have a lot of DVDs here at our house. But when I heard of the RAGAMUFFIN movie based on the life of Christian musician Rich Mullins I just couldn't say no. I had to see this movie and add it to our family friendly, faith-based movie collection. I was not disappointed. It was so well done. Aren't we all ragamuffins when it comes to Christ and the … [Read more...]

Mommy Time with Netflix: Which Shows are Your Binge Watching? #StreamTeam

In the evening, after everyone is asleep in their own bed and I've finished blogging, I sit on the couch. I take 45 minutes to an hour of "mommy time". I put on a television show (I haven't watched a movie for a long time!) on Netflix and just relax. I also like to snack late at night too. {Not good for me at all!} Can anyone say, Pizza Popcorn? Do you like relax with television shows? This year I have started watching (or finished watching) the following five television shows on … [Read more...]

9 Books on My List this Summer

Do you love reading? I do. I honestly love reading. There are some books that I just don't want to end. They become my friends. My life is not condusive to reading, unfortunately. Traveling in an RV for my husband's job, homeschooling my daughter, parenting a rambunctious (I trying to be nice with that word) two year old boy, and maintaining this blog DOES NOT give me much time to read. Praise the Lord for Audiobooks.com. Now, I can listen to my books. Someone else with a great voice can … [Read more...]

What is it with boys and trains?

My son loves trains. We scored this awesome train table at our local consignment store for $7 and we've slowly been adding fun train toys to it for him to play with. He can play at that train table for a good amount of time. He loves watching the train wheels ride down tracks over and over again. What is it with boys and trains? We just reviewed an awesome new train set from TOMY this past week. Let me tell you the honest truth: this Chuggington StackTrack Koko's Safari Adventure Playset … [Read more...]
