What is it with boys and trains?

What is it with boys and trains?

My son loves trains. We scored this awesome train table at our local consignment store for $7 and we’ve slowly been adding fun train toys to it for him to play with. He can play at that train table for a good amount of time. He loves watching the train wheels ride down tracks over and over again. What is it with boys and trains?

Chuggington Train Set

We just reviewed an awesome new train set from TOMY this past week. Let me tell you the honest truth: this Chuggington StackTrack Koko’s Safari Adventure Playset is very loved here in our home. Well made, easy to put together, and affordable – I love it too! My son goes to it first thing in the morning when he wakes up. EVERY DAY. I am waiting for him to ask to sleep with the Koko train.

Do your kids like trains too?

About TOMY’s Chuggington StackTrack™

TOMY’s innovative Chuggington StackTrack™ system takes trains to new heights. For the first time ever, kids can build tall, spiraling layouts. Chuggington toy train sets bring the animated series for preschoolers to life, helping kids recreate favorite episodes from the show and imagine new adventures.

We definitely need to purchase more Chuggington StackTracks to go with our Koko Safari Adventure Playset!

This new toy can’t be enjoyed quite as much if you don’t actually watch the Chuggington cartoon. In fact, we now have a favorite go-to DVD in our home: Chuggington: Explorer Koko. Just released on May 6th, this DVD is also a hit in our house. I have it in the bedroom DVD player right now. When my son wakes up too early, I prop him up on pillows, turn on Chuggington, and roll over to sleep a bit longer. Thank you very affordable morning babysitter! {Terrible, right?!!}

In these 6 exciting episodes plus Chugger Spotlights, a Bonus Badge Quest Episode, and coloring sheets, Brewster, Wilson and Koko learn the importance of teamwork, leadership, how to handle an emergency and more traintastic life skills!

    My dad used to work for the Railroad so my son’s love of trains is shared with him.

      That would be fun for boys to have a grandpa who knew so much about railroads and trains!

    My youngest is a train fan too. He has a small track and it is always fun playing with him. We will move the railroad arms down, put trees on the track, or something else. He will pick it up and say mom that doesn’t belong there or he will sigh. I hope this doesn’t come off as i am being mean, he does laugh when we do it.

      I think that sounds cute! My son is particular about his train track too. We have more tracks (generic wooden ones we found on sale) and trains that he also plays with. I need to keep my eye out for more, or these StackTracks on sale.

    My uncle is a train conductor and my son LOVES trains! We have one Chuggington train set that he received from SANTA for Christmas… He adores it and has to have the trains sitting on his nightstand at bedtime <3 It's the little things…
