RAGAMUFFIN: The Life of Rich Mullins

This summer I have been turning down many movie review requests for this blog. I am trying to free up time this summer with the family and honestly, we have a lot of DVDs here at our house. But when I heard of the RAGAMUFFIN movie based on the life of Christian musician Rich Mullins I just couldn’t say no. I had to see this movie and add it to our family friendly, faith-based movie collection. I was not disappointed. It was so well done. Aren’t we all ragamuffins when it comes to Christ and the Christian experience. We are all so broken without Jesus.

Do you have pain and brokenness in your life and need redemption?

You must see RAGAMUFFIN!

RAGAMUFFIN: The Life of Rich Mullins

About RAGAMUFFIN

RAGAMUFFIN is based on the life of Rich Mullins, a musical prodigy who rose to Christian music fame and fortune only to walk away and live on a Navajo reservation. An artistic genius, raised on a tree farm in Indiana by a callous father, Rich wrestled all of his life with the brokenness and crippling insecurity born of his childhood. A lover of Jesus and a rebel in the church, Rich refused to let his struggles with his own darkness tear him away from a God he was determined to love. As he struggled with success in Nashville and depression in Wichita, Rich desired most of all to live a life of honest and reckless faith amidst a culture of religion and conformity.

About Rich Mullins

Singer and songwriter Richard Wayne “Rich” Mullins was best known for his worship song “Awesome God” which has been embraced as modern classics by many Christians. His music has been covered by many artists, including Caedmon’s Call, Amy Grant, Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith, Third Day, John Tesh, and Hillsong United. Mullins first solo hit, “Awesome God,” appeared on his third album and brought his music to a wider audience. Rich Mullins was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) on April 29, 2014.

Man, his story sounds so interesting, the many struggles in life that we are always coming against. In my eyes it is a true test from God. He has always know what our path should be, he just want’s to see if we are listening? And you know one thing that I have noticed on a lot of these blogger sites? Is that if the prize has anything to do with faith or religion, people have a tendency to shy away from it. ( Truly a sign of our times and the seals are being broken in our life time)

Yes, June the religious contest on here always have lower entries. It just isn’t as popular. But I think it is important.

New comment tonight LaVonne, really tired tonight, had my six & four year old brother and sister team here today most of the day with me. They wore their Momo (nickname) OUT! Then this evening they had their Vacation Bible School program tonight, that was really good. I am going to sleep like a baby tonight!
