Many of you know that my grandfather had a stroke this past month. It was unexpected, and thankfully, he was in and out of the hospital in a week. He came home last Friday, so as an extended family, we celebrated his recovery with a family luncheon during the Seattle Seahawks game. About 30 family members came for a salmon barbecue luncheon and of course football! To make this family celebration even more special, I decorated my parents home with Seahawks party supplies. Did you know that … [Read more...]
A Fun Drone for Kids: My First Drone by Little Tikes
As we traveled, we've seen many drones. In fact, my father even has a drone! My kids love drones and have asked for one repeatedly. Of course, I feel that the ones at our local stores are a bit pricey for their age but when I saw a fun affordable option from Little Tikes, I knew that my five year old would LOVE to try his own drone. My First Drone is the perfect drone for kids! With a simple one-touch remote, protective propeller rings and auto-hover technology, this RC Drone is the best … [Read more...]
Baked Goods the Kids Love For On-the-Go
This post was sponsored by Nabisco as part of an Integrated Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. My five year old started Kindergarten this school year. It's been an adjustment and he's still unsure if he likes going. He misses mommy. We send our children to a private school that is 27 minutes away from home. We can get hot lunch for them each day, but $4 per lunch adds up, so we pack a lunch four days a week. They pick the one day per week … [Read more...]
Magic School Bus Rides Again on Netflix!
Four years ago, our family started watching the original The Magic School Bus on DVD. That was when I homeschooled Isabella, and she was hooked on this great educational cartoon. In fact, when Nate asks questions about the human body, I often go to Netflix, find an episode of The Magic School Bus, and let him watch it. So when, Netflix announced a new reboot of The Magic School Bus, the … [Read more...]
Bible Crafts to Teach Kids About the Bible
I recreated these Bible crafts from a Pinterest pin. (I have a Children's Ministry board on Pinterest, if you'd like to follow me). Lynn Hicken at Randomness blog came up with this back in 2014 and the kids in my Adventurer Club absolutely loved making these candy Bibles. She has even shared the page of Bible verses to make my job as a Children's ministry teacher so much easier. A New Kind of Pogo Ball for Today: Little Tikes Pogo-IT!
Our school year has started, and when school is out, we still like for our kids to get outside and move. There are times that we have to force them to play in the backyard on the playground. But, when we have fun toys they can play with? Well, they don't have to be coerced at all. [Tweet "Keep the kids playing outside! @LittleTikes #PogoIT"] I have great memories as a child of the Pogo Ball. Now, my kids can enjoy a similar (but more fun) toy from Little Tikes: Pogo-IT! Did you have a … [Read more...]
