preschool easter craft

Last week in K4 Homeschool, we reviewed shapes and worked on cutting out shapes. We are still working on cutting this week as well. So when I saw this craft - Handprint Easter Craft - I knew it would be perfect for our homeschool time. A chance to work on cutting and do a craft is something my Princess loves - a fun easy preschool Easter craft. What you need: Construction paper Scissors Glue Stick or Tape Pencil Step 1: Trace your child handprint on colored construction paper. I … [Read more...]

Do You Like Tomatoes?

February 26, 2012 By LaVonne

This week I reviewed the CopyKids Eat Fruits and Vegetables DVD, and my daughter watched other children eating tomatoes. This really had an effect on her. We made bean burritos for lunch this week, and while I was cutting up tomatoes, my Princess asked to eat a piece plain! Now, she loves pico de gallo salsa that is chock full of tomatoes. She also likes tomatoes on her Subway sandwiches and veggie burgers, but she has never eaten a tomato alone. I gave her a small piece and she LOVED it! In … [Read more...]

February 19, 2012 By LaVonne

I have not updated you all for a little while about how our homeschooling has been going. So I wanted to share the latest with you. We are having a great time! We have incorporated lower case letters, letter sounds, and simple math into our school work now. Here is what our typical pre-K homeschool morning looks like: a short Bible story and prayer Scripture song - … [Read more...]

Top Ten Preschool Apps

February 3, 2012 By LaVonne

Our family got an iPad for Christmas. We choose to purchase this for our daughter to use for homeschool and we have put some great educational apps on it. It always amazes me to see her easily navigating her way around an iPad. We live in such technologically advanced times. Amazing! Isabella's Top Ten Preschool Apps: Mahjong Safari - this is included in the free Pogo Games app. She loves matching the animals and working together on this game. Cut the Rope Lite - this free version has … [Read more...]

Printable Preschool Shopping List

October 6, 2011 By LaVonne

My Princess’ new favorite is making a shopping list. She constantly asks us to write up a list for her to copy. She loves writing letters now and trying to figure out what letter a word begins with. Most days, I really do think she is brilliant! Truly. I am realizing she doesn’t like to sit and do Preschool at a set time each day. I have my plan, and worksheets printed out, but she doesn’t seem interested. She likes to “graze” throughout the day on her school work. I need to provide her with a … [Read more...]

10 Chores Preschoolers Can Do

September 30, 2011 By LaVonne

My Princess has always been a good helper. Really. She has a good work ethic just like her daddy. {Notice I didn’t say like me! *Shrug*} She actually wants to help with chores. So here are 10 chores that I think preschoolers can do each day: 1. Make bed: this is one chore we actually do together … [Read more...]
