My Princess LOVES small things. Last week, while shopping in a local Food Co-op, she saw the item of her dreams - a "baby" cart. That is what she calls it. "Baby Cart", over and over, and over again; I think I even hear it in my dreams. She pushes that baby cart around the store (we have been there twice now), and I get so nervous. As my husband happily walks along the aisles, I watch her so carefully. For some reason, my two year old has no idea about pushing carts into the other aisles with … [Read more...]
Glimpse into Our Conversation
Here is a glimpse into a conversation that happens in our home, every day. You can even omit mommy and put daddy into this conversation, sometimes. Oh, and "aye"? that is what the Princess says for "yes". You didn't know? She doubles as a pirate. Mommy: Bella, why don't you tell mommy you have to go the bathroom? Bella: Momma, poo poo. Mommy: It does not count after you go, while I am changing you. Oh, gross! This is disgusting. Can you please start going the bathroom on … [Read more...]
She Did It, Again!
She did it again! Last night at the seminar my Princess told me she had to go pee pee. We ran down to the bathroom and she went. Then she didn't go pee pee all night; she had a completely dry diaper! So we put her on the potty first thing and she went again! Whoo hoo!!!!Yep, I am writing yet again about pee pee in the potty. See what being a mommy to a toddler does to you? No more witty, poetic, grandiose thoughts on intelligent topics - just excitement over pee pee.Okay, I do have more great … [Read more...]
Hospital? Yuck! Poo-Poo? Yay!
Well, my godson Kaleb got into a pretty serious accident on Sunday. They had to rush him to the larger hospital in Seattle. He wrecked on a 4 wheeler and hit his head pretty hard. The helmet fell off and he fractured his skull. He also broke his collarbone and cut his leg pretty bad. He had to have surgery today to clean the leg and cut away dead tissue. The doctors keep saying he is a lucky little boy. The swelling in his head and eye is going down and he is walking now. I am so thankful that … [Read more...]
Top Ten List: Isabella Style
1. Isabella went potty all on her own yesterday! When we woke up, I went to the bathroom and left her on the bed. She got down and came in. Pointing at her potty chair she started pulling off her diaper. (Which, sometimes unfortunately, is not a good thing.) I did help her sit on the chair correctly since sometimes she sits too far forward and makes a pee pee mess. As she was sitting she started to giggle which I knew meant that pee pee was coming out. She jumped up when she was done and we … [Read more...]
Sunday Not So Funnies
At shower time last night I was pulling my contacts out of my eyes and putting on a shower cap when I heard a splashing sound behind me. My naked Princess was smiling as she was smacking the stepping stool where she had just peed. She thought it was funny to see the "wawa" splatter everywhere. Gross!?! Mommy did NOT think it was funny at all. At least it was not poo poo. … [Read more...]
Practicing Thankfulness: Pee, Popcorn, Pledge Dusters, Prayer
So this week I want to give thanks for things that start with P. The last few days on Sesame Street they have been doing the letter P. So I will follow suit. (See what I have become!?! Goodness, who am I? Oh yeah, a mommy.) Practicing Thankfulness Pee Pee - Isabella went Pee Pee again this morning in her potty chair. It took about 10 minutes of sitting there after we woke up but I was patient. Thanks commenters on this previous post for all the advice on potty training. I am taking it all … [Read more...]
