Road Trip to Oregon…That Didn’t Happen
This week my dad had a work trip from Sunday through Thursday in Oregon. He decided to take my mom and my Princess. She was quite excited to be going on a big road trip to Oregon and happily packed up her clothing, snacks, and toys. We were all set - everything was placed by the front door ready for her Papa to pack in to the sport utility vehicle. She stayed the night at their house so they could get up in the morning early and leave. The plan was to leave her in her pajamas and carry her out … [Read more...]
Fall Boots
Fall is here. My Princess got new fall boots from her auntie this week. She is overjoyed about the fact that they have small heels. Also, please vote for my sister-in-law Melanie in the Yahoo! Women Who Shine Contest. She has brain cancer and I know the winning prize will help with mounting medical bills! {Log in to Yahoo! and click Vote button.} … [Read more...]
Living Your Best Life
This has been a busy summer. Having a second child and keeping up with this blog has made life hectic. What is supposed to be a relaxing time off at home this summer has been anything but. It is easy, isn't it, to get sidetracked and focus on things that are not all that important? The life I want to live for myself and my family is not a life of busy internet … [Read more...]
Back to School With the Boys & Girls Club
It is back to school time. Even though we are homeschooling, we still are getting ready for school this back to school season. I have already been shopping for some new clothes for my Princess (who is growing like a weed), school supplies, and workbooks. During this time of year do you get the chance to help out other children? I know there are many children who will be going to school without the necessary … [Read more...]
Zingo! To Go: An Educational Travel Game
We love having a fun yet educational travel game with us when we go to all over North America for my husband's work. (We travel so much, we have a lot of fun things we can do.) We are homeschooling our Princess and love to include games in her preschool homeschool time. So, when the opportunity arose to review Zingo! To Go from Thinkfun, I jumped at the chance. I knew my Princess would love this game that is for travel and like classic Bingo. About Zingo! To Go Take Zingo! zaniness on the … [Read more...]
Children’s Artwork Idea
A family friend gave my mother a gift for Easter that was such a great idea, I decided to duplicate it. Truly an amazing children's artwork idea. Make cards out of your child's artwork! Pretty simple, huh? My daughter loves drawing pictures but I can't keep every one of them. I already knew that about the idea of scanning the artwork and making a book, but some of the her more "favorite" pictures can easily be made into blank note cards. Here is one of her pictures which I named "Happy … [Read more...]
