Isn’t it funny when your child starts imitating you? Well, I suppose it isn’t always funny, but lately the Princess has been using grown up phrases and it does sound cute. I tried in vain last week to get my Princess to use her saline nasal spray. She just would not let me. Which I didn’t understand because we have used it so many times. I tried to force her to lean back on the pillow and use it and she stopped me. Calmly, she said, “Mommy, I can’t handle this.” I realized that she had heard me … [Read more...]

We are Trying For a Second Child
We have decided this is the year we will try for our second child. Are we crazy or what? After getting through the newborn stage, baby stage, and early toddler stage, am I really choosing to go through it all again. I mean, it was really hard! Still is. (I must be crazy.) Bed Bugs

Once the Princess figured out what his intentions were, she ran into the room to stop him. “No that’s my friend!” she yelled. (I was reminded of Charlotte’s Web in that moment – a favorite movie of hers.) Distracted by his daughter, he missed with the … [Read more...]
Sabbath Activity
Did you know that our family keeps the Sabbath? Now that we have a toddler we try very hard to make this the best day of the week. It is a day we don’t worry about shopping, television shows, cleaning, or bills. It really is our Special Day. It is the day we not only spend time with God and fellowship with other Christians but also a day for family and spending time in nature - God’s creation. We took advantage of the sunshine this last weekend. (We are in California during the winter, … [Read more...]
7 Great Tips for Real Life
During the seminar I am my husband’s secretary. When people write down their prayer requests and put them in the large prayer request basket, I am the one who types them up. We always have a prayer team that prays over each of them. But while I am typing them up, I am also praying for that person’s prayer request. I have said this many times before, but I need to keep reminding myself: people have a lot of real issues going on in their life, many are hanging just by a thread and when I am … [Read more...]
