We have decided this is the year we will try for our second child.
Are we crazy or what?
After getting through the newborn stage, baby stage, and early toddler stage, am I really choosing to go through it all again. I mean, it was really hard! Still is. (I must be crazy.)
But, when listening to a radio program about an only child praying daily until age 8 for a sibling, I started feeling really bad.
My Princess has been asking for months now for a sister. She pretends a baby is in her tummy and she takes it and places it in mommy’s tummy. Often playing with her baby doll and telling me when she has a baby (a sibling) she will feed her, bath her and dress her.
Then watching a cartoon on PBS, she say siblings playing together outside. She told me, “mommy I need a sister.”
So yes, friends and family, it is real. We are off birth control and we are planning for summer of 2012.
Ahhhh! I am terrified.
