Isn’t it funny when your child starts imitating you? Well, I suppose it isn’t always funny, but lately the Princess has been using grown up phrases and it does sound cute.
I tried in vain last week to get my Princess to use her saline nasal spray. She just would not let me. Which I didn’t understand because we have used it so many times. I tried to force her to lean back on the pillow and use it and she stopped me.
Calmly, she said,
“Mommy, I can’t handle this.”
I realized that she had heard me say this during tough times. So I reminded her that yes, she can handle it, and that we need to depend on Jesus. (Now if only I can remember that during hard times!)
Now, she is using her nasal spray each night before bed, and loves it again. She even tries using it herself.
Lesson I Learned: Remember to trust Jesus. Fully rely on Him to get me through difficult times. I have always loved these verses I just need to dwell on them more, Psalm 37:
“Trust in the Lord and do good… delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” verse 3, 4
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of you cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” verse 5-7
