Take A Multi Vitamin

April 8, 2011 By LaVonne

My Princess loves her vegetarian gummy vitamins. I caught her trying to get her own vitamin, assuring her that she would not be able to open the child proof container. I guess my Princess is smart enough to figure out “Child Proof” lids. (Oh yes, remember when I told you she puts a skirt on every day over the clothes I pick out? Yep, here is one of those skirts,)   You can find this story board for PSE at The Coffee Shop Blog. … [Read more...]

The Importance of Putting Your Marriage First

April 6, 2011 By LaVonne

marriage

Did you know that my husband and I have been married for almost 12 years? It is hard to believe myself. We waited 8 years to have our first child and I remember those days. They are getting a little foggy, but those first years of marriage were pretty great. Of course, we had our rough and bumpy patches but we made it through and we spent a lot of time together and loved doing romantic things. We enjoyed: dinner out enjoying a local bed & breakfast short trips to the San Juan … [Read more...]

So she can dance and twirl of course.Sandwiches: My parents visited us soon after we arrived. My mom likes "bologna" (vegetarian) with pickles, tomatoes and lettuce. So now, my Princess eats the same sandwich everyday since. Really.Color It By Numbers: I got this app for free to review and giveaway. She wants my laptop now all the time so she can "paint". She begs … [Read more...]

Writing Her Name

March 31, 2011 By LaVonne

My Princess has been doing so well with writing her name. She recognizes her letters everywhere. Constantly pointing to letters on signs, in books, and in magazines. We have turned it into a game now.At church while we are patiently waiting for the sermon to end (Daddy's sermon, mind you) I let her look at the church bulletin and circle all her letters. She loves it. I love it, since it gives me a few moments of peace.(It is not always easy to entertain a child in the church service, … [Read more...]

Parenting A Toddler: 5 Important Tips

March 29, 2011 By LaVonne

tips on parenting

Time outs? Restrictions? Spankings? We have a very stubborn toddler here in our home. She like most three year old children  need discipline. The punishment she dislikes the most is time outs. We have followed the rule that the time out is equal to her age. So she is getting 3 minute time outs right now. A frequent issue that we have been dealing with is during our travel. I am very careful to keep her within eye sight at all times when we are traveling on the road for my husband's work. … [Read more...]
