Simple Watercolor Monogrammed Art

Spread the love

Preschool art

Living by the beach, it is essential to have watercolor paint, especially when you have a preschooler.  Truthfully, we all love to water color paint. Do you like to water color paint?

This last week, we had fun looking around Pinterest for watercolor ideas that we could replicate. We want fun, pretty and simple ideas for watercolor painting. We came across these two amazing ideas:

  • Watercolor Party from The Handmade Home
  • Watercolor Valentine’s from Nest of Posies

Using these two ideas as inspiration, my preschooler made a simple water color art that we are happy to hang on the wall or put on our mantle.

{I cannot wait to let her frame these and put them in her room!}

She made a watercolor monogrammed art picture for her and her brother. Doing this watercolor art idea is simple. We just used tape to block out their initials. We only had scotch tape and it worked.  Then Isabella picked colors to paint on it. Once it was dry, we pulled the tape off. Voila!

What an easy watercolor art idea for a preschooler! Plus, it just looks cool!

What crafty ideas have you been working on lately?

        What did you use here…paper, canvas? I am trying to plan for my student teaching activity this week and love this idea. Just trying to get specifics on what works the best.
        Thanks!
