Easter Traditions

April 5, 2012 By LaVonne

Mariah: With Easter right around the corner, I have been thinking about the traditions that I want to start with my son . Last year he was only 4 months old but we still went to spend the day with family and have a big family Easter Egg Hunt. We will do that again this year. I will also get out his personalized Easter basket and fill it with some goodies. I'm trying to decide how to handle decorating eggs with a toddler. What are your Easter traditions or some activities that you would like to … [Read more...]

Christian Easter Ideas

It is important in our family to keep the message of a Risen Savior - Jesus Christ - in our Easter holiday. While, we do have a lot of fun with friends and family having an Easter party with baskets and egg hunts and new clothes we love to find new ways to incorporate Jesus in our day of festivities. I found some great ideas that I wanted to share with you all. Ways to keep Jesus a part of Easter. Christian Easter Fun Ideas       You can also find some Easter printables for your kids to … [Read more...]

preschool easter craft

Last week in K4 Homeschool, we reviewed shapes and worked on cutting out shapes. We are still working on cutting this week as well. So when I saw this craft - Handprint Easter Craft - I knew it would be perfect for our homeschool time. A chance to work on cutting and do a craft is something my Princess loves - a fun easy preschool Easter craft. What you need: Construction paper Scissors Glue Stick or Tape Pencil Step 1: Trace your child handprint on colored construction paper. I … [Read more...]

Happy Easter!

April 23, 2011 By LaVonne

sourceI hope that you all have a blessed and happy Easter! As surely as we died with Christ, we believe we will also live with him. We know that death no longer has any power over Christ. He died and was raised to life, never again to die. When Christ died, he died for sin once and for all. But now he is alive, and he lives only for God. In the same way, you must think of yourselves as dead to the power of sin. But Christ Jesus has given life to you, and you live for God.Romans 6: 8-11 … [Read more...]

Easter Subway Art + Bible Verses for Easter

April 10, 2011 By LaVonne

I had such a great time making a Valentine's Day Subway Art that I decided to make one for Easter as well. I made this is Photoshop Elements. It is 5x7 inches originally. I love Easter.  As I mentioned  before, we will be able to spend this great holiday with family, and in our own home before we travel again to another town in British Columbia. Without the resurrection of Jesus, our faith truly is futile. I am so thankful that He not only died for my sins but rose again so that I might … [Read more...]

My Favorite Thing About Easter

March 28, 2011 By LaVonne

easter

Easter is almost here. Are you excited? Are you ready? We have a break between seminars that allows us to be at home for the Easter holiday. I am very excited about that. When we are gone for 8+ months out of the year, we miss some holidays and birthdays.  That is one of the many reasons that a job on the road is difficult. But it is worth it for us. When we share the Gospel message with communities across the country, and lives are changed, it is worth it. Without the hope of the … [Read more...]
