We are flying to Southern California this month! It is time for a vacation and there is no where we like to visit more than Southern California. This time we are visiting Disneyland! Yippeee! We cannot wait. Well, to be honest, I am a little worried how well we will do with a 1 year old and 5 year old for two days at Disneyland. Hmm.. I will get back to you. I might need a vacation from my vacation.

I have a new board on Pinterest all about Disney. In fact, later this week I am scheduling a pre-Disneyland travel tips and tricks post based on all the great information I have learned. So stay tuned!

I’ve never been there! WDW oodles of times, but not Disneyland yet. You’ll do great. By the way, that parking thing sounds fab. We don’t have that exact one near me, but the one we have is similar and is a beautiful thing!

Thanks Liz. I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a kid but I think our family is going to have a blast.

I only went to Disneyland once 10 years ago, so I’m sure things have changed, but the food can be a little expensive so you might want to budget for that or eat meals at your hotel (I was only there for the afternoon). Have FUN, I love Disney and your kids will have a blast!!!

I have heard that meals are expensive. I was told to share a meal, get kids sized meals, or packs snacks. I might just try all three ideas!

We just got back from Disney World. One of my tips – bring in water bottles and refill them in the drinking fountains… saves tons of money!

I like that idea Danielle. I will have reusable water bottles on my packing list for sure!

The last time I was at Disneyland was for our honeymoon–w/out kids =]
we did Disney World with a few years back-3 and 7 year old and it was just right. My tip BRING lots of WATER and definitely pack snacks. We only bought 2 meals and split it between the 4 of us and then had fish crackers, apples, and raisins through out the day. We also stayed in one of the Disney hotels so we could go back around 6 for a bigger meal & POWER NAP, then take the shuttle back to the park at night for the light shows.

A honeymoon at Disneyland without kids sounds like a lot of fun actually! We will bring a reusable water bottle and healthy snacks for sure. I am thinking of going back to the hotel with my 1 year old and taking a late nap then heading back for the light shows.

You’ll do great at Disneyland. It’s made for 1 and 5 year olds!
