You know I am on social media. I use it to stay connected with friends but I also use it to promote this blog and social media channels. It’s been useful for me. But, did you know, I haven’t allowed my 14-year-old to have any social media accounts. I’ve read the reports, I know what social media is doing to our mental health, especially our children. It’s such a difficult, multi-layered decision for every family. But, for now, we are excluding this from our child’s life.

This important social media book and journal from Sadie Robertson could not have come at a better time. I am so happy to be able to share this with my daughter. Together, we can learn better boundaries now, so that when she does have social media, she can make better choices than the adults and kids in her life.

About Who Are You Following

In Who Are You Following? bestselling author and social media personality Sadie Robertson Huff dives deep into exploring who we are allowing to influence our daily thoughts and actions. Using scripture, current research, surveys, and personal and biblical stories, Sadie draws on her own experience as a social media influencer and addresses topics such as:

  • how to go from being liked to being truly loved
  • our true motives for fame
  • being seen from the outside versus being known
  • comparing ourselves to others
  • questioning why did I post that?!
  • how to respond to cancel culture
  • wondering does God still love me?

This book is perfect for my teen and me as we both learn to navigate our own life of faith in God by following Jesus – the ultimate influencer. What a great book to discover the love, purpose, and fulfillment that is found only in Jesus.
