This Easter I am going to be adding candy, books, bubbles, and DVDs to my kids’ Easter baskets. I don’t think I’ve shared about my daughter’s love of My Little Pony. We have a few of the DVDs, and she watches the television show on Netflix often. We also have a good number of My Little Pony dolls (or should I say ponies?) and even a large Fluttershy Build-A-Bear.
So I know she’s going to love the addition of My Little Pony: A Dash of Awesome in her Easter basket this year!
About A Dash of Awesome
Join Rainbow Dash for five thrilling adventures alongside her very best friends in all of Equestria; the studious Twilight Sparkle, quiet animal lover Fluttershy, the party enthusiast Pinkie Pie, the always loyal apple farmer Applejack, and Ponyville’s very own fashionista Rarity! That’s right! Five episodes dedicated to everypony’s favorite highflying Pegasus, Rainbow Dash! The episodes include “May the Best Pet Win!,” “The Mysterious Mare Do Well,” “Read It and Weep,” “Daring Don’t,” and “Rainbow Falls.”
My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: A Dash Of Awesome is coming to DVD in the U.S. and Canada on March 25 from Shout! Factory Kids in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, and it includes a sing-along as a bonus feature.

My girls love MLP! I was thinking of adding a kid’s DVD into each of their baskets too!
LaVonne says
DVDs are so affordable that for a non-candy basket item they are a hit.
Christy Garrett @ Uplifting Families says
My daughter always loved My Little Pony stuff and this is a great Easter basket idea. I love finding non candy items to fill their baskets.
LaVonne says
So do I, Christy. Though my daughter would be distraught if I didn’t add at least one Reese’s PB Egg and Cadbury Caramel Egg.
LyndaS says
That would make a nice gift for a little girl. Who doesn’t want to get a pony? 🙂
LaVonne says
What’s funny is I love MLP when I was a girl too. It has staying power.
Robin {Mom Foodie} says
My daughter would be all over this!
Jennifer @ My Sweet Sanity says
My daughter is a huge MLP fan and I always add a movie to the Easter baskets. It cuts out some of the sugar that way.
Annie @ Mama Dweeb says
