We Bought a 5th Wheel Travel Trailer!

5th Wheel Travel Trailer

We bought a 5th wheel travel trailer! My husband has a new job. We won’t be traveling across North American any longer. We will now be only traveling around Washington state in our RV. We are now RV people! I am excited and also nervous. Thirty-two feet of RV space can feel pretty small with two young kids, right?

We are in the process of cleaning, stocking, and organizing our RV space. Thankfully, I have a new Dyson handheld vacuum cleaner to help me. {I LOVE our Dyson!}

5th Wheel RV Trailer

Did you know that RVs are quite expensive? Thankfully, we got a great deal on a used 5th wheel travel trailer. We are the proud owners of a Cougar 32 foot bunkhouse 5th wheel. Living the RV life! First, before anything else, we vacuumed and then shampooed our carpet. Can I just say that this Dyson handheld vacuum works very well? I am very excited that it is small enough to fit into our cupboard under the kitchen seat but powerful enough to get the job done!

I really love that this is lightweight and powerful. My six year can even easily use it. One of her chores (which she loves by they way) is vacuuming up our small space. The Dyson DC58 Handheld Vacuum Cleaner has a Boost button that makes a more powerful vacuum suction but honestly, I didn’t need to use it. I also appreciate that it comes with two tools for more specific cleaning.

You can purchase the Dyson DC58 Handheld Vacuum Cleaner at a Best Buy store near you or at Amazon.com.

I love that. I have wanted something like that for along time.

It is for work, but we are pretty excited about taking vacations in it too.

Wow I have never seen an RV like that. I would love to travel in one.

A bunkhouse RV is not as popular since the back bedroom takes up a good amount of space. But with kids having the second bedroom is essential for us!

My aunt and uncle are currently in Florida, escaping the cold of the northeast because they were brilliant enough to buy one of these. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think they’re fun!

It is fun right now, Rosy. It does take a bit of upkeep but we are loving it right now.

We keep thinking about buying one, but I think we are going to buy a cabin instead.

Having this is for work so we needed it. But a cabin sounds lovely. By the water or the mountains….

A Dyson this size is perfect for a travel trailer. I am so glad we have one! I highly recommend it.

OMGosh I’ve been DYING to get a 5th wheel! Although I’m thinking of just one that just hooks to the hitch. Anyway, I bet that Dyson comes in hand for this!

It is so handy, Danielle. I am thankful we have it. This hooks up to the hitch too so towing is a bit easier. But at 32 feet it is still something we are getting used to!

You will definitely need the vacuum. My parents had a popup tent that we used growing up. We would go camping for two weeks a year and sometimes on the weekend. They were able to do it with 5 of us including my baby sisters. The trailer made it nice because we no longer had to sleep in tents and it was more comfy when it rained. Don’t forget to take board or card games too.

I can’t imagine a trailer full of five kids ๐Ÿ™‚ I am glad I only have two. We will have games – card games for sure (they take up less space), small toys, books, and movies. The kids and I will do a lot outside of the trailer though. I think we’ll join the local YMCA and visit the nearby Children’s Musuem as often as possible. It will be an exciting change that’s for sure!
