6 Ideas to Make Teeth Brushing Fun

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Orbit for Kids. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
ideas to make teeth brushing fun

My 5 year old likes to brush her teeth. Usually. I don’t have to beg her to brush them but I do have to remind her. We go to our dentist every 6 months and get our teeth cleaned and get a check up. Thankfully, she has been great at going to the dentist. Last month, my Little Man went to the dentist for the first time. He did okay. He was a bit uncertain about the situation. But he now loves his little toothbrush and “brush teeth time”.

Here are 6 ideas to make teeth brushing fun:

  1. Brush to music
  2. Use a fun timer
  3. Buy a fun character toothbrush
  4. Use an electric toothbrush
  5. Brush together as a family
  6. Use stickers for a reward chart

What ways do you make brushing teeth fun for your kids?

orbit for kids

New Orbit for Kids is a sugar-free gum and ADA approved, and it comes in two delicious flavors that kids love: orignial bubblegum and strawberry banana.

Best of all, like teeth brushing, Orbit for Kids can help protect teeth by doing three things:

  • Stimulating Saliva Flow
  • Neutralizing Plaque Acids
  • Helping to Keep Teeth Clean

My Princess was told on her last visit (last month) that it is good that her mouth produces a lot of saliva. “Sugar bugs” don’t like saliva, they hygienist told us. So this gum creates even more when she is chewing it. So after a meal, I can give her a piece of strawberry banana flavored gum and we are both happy. A win/win for sure!

Who knew that chewing gum could be such a positive activity!

orbit for kids 2

Orbit for Kids is also available in a 14-tab package ($1.29 msrp) and a multipack bag with 10 6-tab micro packs ($4.49 msrp). This smaller pack size is great for giving to my 5 year old. She loves both flavors of this gum: bubble gum and strawberry banana.

Which flavor do you think your child would like the best?

*Orbit for Kids gum should compliment a regular brushing and flossing routine.

A timer is the perfect way to let young kids know how long they’ve brushed and when it’s time to stop.

I used to worry that my son was never going to brush his teeth! These are great tips. Of course it works better with older kids who understand though. But really great!

Veggies and fruits help a lot in cleaning the teeth. The most commonly used fruit for cleansing the teeth are apples. An apple is ideal because it has a slightly astringent quality that helps clean teeth. Its fibers also act as mini brushes! However, even if an apple has many dental benefits, don’t ever forget to brush your teeth. Apples still have sweet elements that can be harmful in a little way.
