summer snack ideas

I love summertime in Washington state. The days are long. We have lovely weather. Our family spends a lot of time together outdoors and we are home. During the summer we like to pack snacks with us when we are out and about. It saves money and enables us to eat more healthy.

Here are 10 summer snack ideas that we love:

  1. Frozen Grapes
  2. Apple Slices
  3. All Fruit Juice Popsicles
  4. Carot Sticks
  5. Crackers
  6. Granola Bars
  7. Squeezable Yogurt
  8. Cherries
  9. Peaches
  10. Trail Mix

These are awesome! I feel like I do OK during the year, but during summer I lose my snack mojo 🙂

Cold fruit is always so popular in the Summer because it’s so refreshing. I love fruit juice popsicles! These definitely look like a good treat though.

We just bought a large box of fruit juice popsicles at our Costco. They are low calorie and so tasty!

We enjoy many of the same snacks. In addition to the ones you listed, we also eat a lot of berries and watermelon. Also, we freeze our yogurt tubes.

I am learning to enjoy watermelon. For the longest time I couldn’t stand it. But if it is sweet and firm I really love it on a hot day.

I love fruit and before I became diabetic I used to eat a lot of it as snacks. Now that I no longer can (fruit is filled with sugar-natural I know but it seems that does not matter). I miss it horribly. These cracker snacks look mighty tempting–I’d be willing to try either one of them–

Peanut butter can have sugar in it too. I looked at a lot of different PB today at the grocery store and I was surprised by how many brands add sugar. You really have to read the labels!
