My Review:
What I Loved: The story is great – each child gets their pet based on their love language. Very creative way to explain the love languages of children. I really enjoyed that. Gary Chapman has incorporated his 5 Love Languages of Children (Gifts, Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Physical Touch, and Acts of Service) in this children’s book very well. The illustrations by Wilson Williams Jr., are also wonderful. Colorful, and detailed, this children’s book is so well done. It is a bit long for my 4 year old but we read it in two sessions. Which is fine.
*This is a perfect book for your child’s Easter basket!*
What My Princess Loved: My four year old loved the hidden details. On each page there are hidden insects, and animal searches. She loved scanning the pages trying to find things. In fact, many pages, she found the insects before I did. This is a book I know she is going to want to look at again and again.
