We were gone this last week for work. (Again.) But this time, we left our Princess with her grandparents. (Praise God for grandparents!)
So while we were gone, missing our Princess more than she missed us, we called often to check in on her.
One of the days, Daddy decided to pretend her was Santa Claus. (She now believes that Santa Claus does exist.)
He ho ho ho’ed throughout the conversation which he asked her if she was a good girl. He encouraged her to continue to be a good girl, to love Jesus, and to leave him cookies and Rudolph carrots. She was so excited when she retold the conversation later that night. She has talked about every day since.
She truly believed Santa Claus called her and now she is trying to be a good girl. She likes to have conversations about the presents he will bring and the cookies we will make for Santa.
It is so fun to witness this through a child’s eyes. We are really getting a kick out this.
I just hope no one ruins the fun for a couple years. (Big kids who know the truth might just want to spill the beans!)
