I have a BIG announcement.
My Princess is not in my bed any longer. After close to 4 years of co-sleeping. I am done.
I want her in her own bed.
We tried to keep her in her own room, alone.
That did not work.
She slept on her own for four hours, but once she woke up and realized she was alone, the tears came.
My husband ended up going in there and sleeping next to her.
So I decided to bring a bed in our room.
We travel so much, I realized it would be unreasonable for her to sleep alone. When we are on the road she is going to want to be with us.
She was so big, and she slept on the floor next to me the whole night.
I woke up and she was going to the bathroom alone. She NEVER does that.
No tears, no whining. She woke up three times and feel right back to sleep when she saw me.

I also have a confession:
I have been using this new baby to try to improve her behavior.
The good news? It seems to be working.
I tell her that she has to be a good girl, a good big sister, and she needs to show the baby how to act nicely. She really wants to be a good big sister, so she is very excited about doing anything I ask her, and changing her behavior.
I like this.
