Stumbling Into Grace: Confessions of a Sometimes Spiritually Clumsy Woman by Lisa Harper is a diary/devotional book , and even possible women’s Bible study book, about Lisa Harper’s life. In this story of her faith, Lisa shares how her journey has at times been rocky. She has drawn encouragement from the life of Christ and the words found in the Bible. Often humorous and always memorable, the stories in Lisa Harper’s book are wonderful for this “spiritually clumsy” woman too!
The book is separated into 3 sections and in each chapter, Lisa share stories from her own life to relate together another story in the life of Christ. Her own stories made me laugh out loud and they also brought tears to my eyes. The way she puts passages from the Bible in her own words also was one of my favorite aspects of this book. She makes Christianity so real, and her style of writing is so refreshing.
At the end of each chapter, Lisa Harper, gives discussion questions for your journal or your group study and the questions are thoughtful and relevant. With Bible passages and quotes scattered through out, Stumbling Into Grace is a wonderful book to have in your personal library and to share with other women. I highly recommend it.
