While changing in the family room at the pool, where they require you take off all outside shoes, my daughter yells very dramatically {as though she is just dying},
“Ewwww! There is dirt on the floor! Ewwwww! I can’t take this!”
To which I replied,
“It is just a little dirt, you are going to be okay.”
It reminded me of when she was 18 months and HATED the sand at the beach. She didn’t want to touch with her feet let alone with her hands.
{Thankfully, she grew out of that one!}
The last two towns we stayed in had recreation centers with a pool. We joined both. What fun we have had swimming and playing together.
My Princess can now dive under the water and pick up a ring. She does not want to wear goggles so she opens her eyes. It is pretty cute to watch her under the water.
{My goodness, she is getting so big. The time is flying by!}
I didn’t realize this but according to Happy Swimmers, floaties hinder your child from learning how to swim. It will take them longer to learn if they use floaties. Oh no!
