Sick Time

My family is sick. It affected me for a couple days, though not too badly. Today, my husband is really feeling it, and my daughter is slowly getting over it. At home, my father, mother and sister were all sick this past week. I am sure we picked it up from them before we left for Northern California.

Not fun to travel and settle in a new house when we are feeling yucky. I was a nurse today. I shopped for groceries as quickly as I could today. We are stocked up. When we are traveling and only in one place for a month, I need to plan our meals and only buy what we need. This reduces our waste and helps us save money. Here is our meal plan for the week:

*Avocado Sushi and edamame

*Stir fry vegetables with tofu

*Chili with cornbread

*Baked potato with chili

*Bean Burritos with all the fixings and oven fries

*Soup with sandwiches (we bought soup this week: tomato and vegetable barley)

*Spaghetti with broccoli and green salad.

So after making sushi for dinner (the Princess’ first choice) I made the family fresh juice. We had orange, carrot and apple juice tonight – full of fresh vitamins and minerals.

Please pray for my family that they will get over this bug soon. Being sick in beautiful, sunny Northern California is no fun!
