Edamame are green soybeans in the pod that are picked before they ripen. Preparing edamame is so easy too. We buy it ours frozen at the local grocery store.
You can easily find it organic, which are happy for; soybeans truly are best when bought organic. They even sell them dry roasted to eat as a snack.
The frozen edamame just needs to be boiled for 5 minutes and we like to lightly salt them. A quick and healthy side to any plate; much better with this sandwich than potato chips.
Edamame are high in fiber and protein – a really great snack that we love. Try them out if you get the chance.
