Airplane Essentials

September 10, 2010 By LaVonne

Spread the love

Hello Airport. We meet again.

This time I am so prepared, I am not even dreading the five hour flight. We even change planes in Denver, and I am not too worried. When have I become such a easy going airplane traveler? It is refreshing, I like the new me.

Here are my essentials as we travel on the airplane:

1. Snacks. I have Sunspire Chocolate Drops, Vegan Gummy Fruit, Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops, Annie’s Homegrown Bunny Cheddar Crackers and Honey Grahams. (Yes, I do bribe my toddler with “junk” food for good behavior on the airplane.)

2. DVDs. I have lots. I just got a new Dora the Explorer DVD at the Goodwill for $3.99! She will be so happy to have a new one to watch. We also have Gigi God’s Princess, from the Family Christian Bookstore, which she LOVES. I just wish I had 2 batteries for the DVD player. It will only last 2 hours max.

3. Books. I went to the Dollar Tree recently and got some Go Diego Go and Dora the Explorer books. We also have a couple Golden Books, and of course a great toddler Bible that she loves.

4. Toys. Her dolly with cup that appears to disappear as the dolly drinks it. 4 wooden Melissa & Doug Royal Family Doll Set with a small plastic skateboard. She likes to make them “ride” on the skateboard.

You know what I am missing this time? Crafts. I need to restock on some travel crafts like pens, paper, scissors, glue sticks and stickers. Oh, well. Next time.

I will let you know how this trip goes. Hopefully, I am not being presumptuous with how well my toddler travels. And hopefully she takes a good nap. I even brought some trail mix, iPod, and magazines for me.
