The Long House. That is the name of our home. Yep, we’ve named it. It really is like a vacation in the summer and we love having our family here for visits.
This week, we hosted my father-in-law. What fun long days we had with him, my sister in law and brother in law. We were able to visit the local Casino for a lunch buffet, see the Deception Pass bridge, Mt. Erie, walk downtown La Conner, take the ferry to Victoria, B.C (can you saw Tim Horton’s Timbits?), walk through Pike Place Market, play at the Seattle Center Fountain, and go up to the top of the Space Needle. All that in 3 very full days! Whew.
The Princess LOVED it too! She loved her aunt and uncle. Because they are high school age, she kept calling them, “My friends”. When they left, she said, “Mommy, where my friends go?” Actually she kept repeating it all morning long.
Next week? We get to host my husband’s Uncle, Aunt and their 2 adult sons! Another Sockeye Salmon BBQ is on the horizon.
