While we were out on the coast of Washington, at the NW most tip of the contiguous United States, we decided to throw a letter in a bottle out to sea. I know, it is not the most environmentally friendly thing to do, but my husband was so excited that one day our Princess could have a pen pal somewhere, that we did it.
We joked that maybe it would just wash back on the shore of Neah Bay, Washington. But that would be okay too. My Princess was so excited as we got the letter ready, put it in the bottle with a $1 bill for postage when the person writes back, and corked it shut. She even waved goodbye!
