We had such a great Christmas this year. Our first Christmas party spent in our new home. The Long Family Christmas Party. I like the sound of that. I think it will be an annual thing. And you know what? It was not even stressful. We had a house full of family and friends, great food, family movies, and games – it was wonderful. The Princess got spoiled this year. I don’t think we have room for all these new toys. I need to go through them now and get rid of some of the old ones.
I do buy presents all year long for her. When I find a sale, I take advantage of it. So my Princess’ presents added up this year. I had more than I thought. When I wrapped them on Christmas Eve, after she fell asleep, with the special Winnie the Pooh wrap, I thought I had wrapped them all. Nope, we hid some and didn’t find them until today. Oh boy! It did come in handy on Christmas day when I purposely decided not to give my Princess a My Little Pony set. We had an unexpected visitor come and so I quickly put that gift in a bag for the little girl. Whoo hoo! Thank goodness for extra presents.
So last night the Princess opened a present she especially loved: an easel. We don’t have accessories for it (pens, paper, chalk, etc…) so we put up an open box (reused garbage) and grabbed some highlighters and away she went. She loves to draw. So today I think I will get some paper, chalk and erasers and let her creativity flow.
Now, what will I do with the Hello Kitty water dispenser and Disney Princess Dress-up Trunk? Maybe Valentine’s Day.
