So, yes it is official – we are moving to Washington. I am so excited! Not only will I be close to family again but we are buying our first home. In fact it has already closed and we are home owners! It is very hard to believe. After ten years of renting, I love that we are going to be paying towards a home of our very own.
Alas, I will miss the nice weather at Lake Tahoe in the summer. When you only live less than an hour from the beauty of this great lake it is something we tried to take advantage of. We were able to go up to Tahoe City two times during the last month and enjoy the beauty of the blue lake. Plus, it is always nice to go to a cooler climate (100+ degrees down here has been NOT fun this summer). If you have not had the chance to visit Lake Tahoe it is so worth it! We all love it and best of all the parking is free. We always bring a picnic and just spend the whole day having fun! The Princess especially loved mucking around in the shallow water, chasing the birds, and playing in the sand with her new sand toy:
