We are having cool weather this week. It was in the 80s today! That means the Princess and I spent a considerable amount of time outside. I love our fresh air up here in the foothills. Outside the city, above the smog, it is wonderful. I love sunshine but when it is nearing 100, no thank you. 80s are perfect!
On Friday, we put in our first offer on a house. A foreclosure. These hard economic times have caused many to lose their homes, so I am grateful in the a way that is bittersweet I suppose. Someone had to lose this house for us to get it at a great deal. So I am sad for them, but so happy we can now *possibly* be in a home of our own.
As a result of this, we are cleaning out our garage. We have been giving away suits, clothes, baby items, and books. There truly is something nice about getting rid of clutter that we no longer use. Plus, others have been able to benefit from free items that are still in great condition. My only complaint: it is difficult to actually clean the garage when one eye is on a toddler who does not understand the meaning of: “Stay inside the garage where Mommy can see you!”
We are also selling some pieces of furniture. I am grateful for Craigslist. That site makes selling your items so easy! One item looks like it will be sold. Whoohoo! I hope the rest sell this week. (Fingers crossed!)
God is good to us. We are very happy and excited to see what God has in store for us. I have been reading the book of Ruth the last couple days and I have been convicted to be more content with what I have in this life. God is more than able to give to me all that I need. And what I want? I am learning day by day that He loves me so much, if it is in His will, He will give me that too! What an awesome God we serve! ๐
