Gratituesday Top Ten

May 26, 2009 By LaVonne

Spread the love

I will mix the two memes today and talk about the top ten things that I think Isabella is grateful for.

#1. Mommy – of course I must be number one. She L.O.V.E.S me. That is the best feeling in the world. Some days it can be hard though, when I just want her to go to daddy.

#2. Breastfeeding – she used to sign more when she wanted to eat. She will now yell Mom or hit her own little chest. She is 17 months and still loves to breastfeed. This week since all the family left, she has been wanting to eat ALL day. (No exaggeration.)

#3. Daddy – usually playing with him. They play in the dollhouse, with the bike, towing on blankets, jumping over shoes, in the pool, wrestling, push-ups (yes she pretends she is doing it too). She loves to play with daddy.

#4. Water – or wawa as she likes to call it. She likes it in a cup, in a bowl, in her pool, or in the tub (I am starting to sound like a Dr. Seuss book.) For drinking or playing, she is happy when she has water.

#5. Sesame Street – each morning after breakfast she likes to watch this show on PBS. She is not into cartoons but Sesame Street has a hold on her. Elmo is her favorite, but she is starting to really like Cookie Monster now. She pretends to eat cookies like he does when she sees him. It is a cute thing to witness.

#6. Gerber graduates fruit snacks – otherwise known as candy. I am a sucker though. It makes her happy, so I give her a pack. She can never have more than one pack a day, and some days she doesn’t ask for any. Why Gerber can’t you make fruit snacks that are whole fruit? (And yes, I do give her whole fruit, but there is something about the fun wrapper that she wants.)

#7. Crocs – she always wants to wear her hot pink Crocs. I got them cheaply at REI, and even saw some for $8 at Ross that were darling. I think they are her favorite because she can put them on herself.

#8. Books – any books, even my books without pictures. She flips through it like she is reading. But her picture books, books with flaps, or books with pictures you can feel. She loves to recognize the animals and makes all kinds of animal noises when she identifies them. Her horse sound is the funniest. It sounds like a laugh.

#9. Packs of Gum – this is new this week. I blogged about it already, but she is really into these free packs of gum daddy got. She plays with them all the time. As long as she can’t open them (which she cannot) I don’t mind. It keeps her busy.

#10. Noodles – if noodles were to fall off the face of the earth I am sure Isabella would be devasted. She wants to eat them all the time. She like them plain, with marina sauce, with chili beans, and even with margarine and garlic. She doesn’t mind if they are cold, or warm.
