Well, I have not posted a blog for a little while since I am visiting my family in Washington. Isabella and I flew out of Reno on Friday with my parents. They were visiting for a few days when at the last minute (due to a death in the family) they decided to fly Isabella and I home for a much appreciated family visit. We had to wake up at 4:30 am, leave a 5am, drive 1 1/2 hours to Reno, fly to Phoenix, then fly to Seattle. By the time we made it home to La Conner it was a 12 hour day already. And amazingly, Isabella did quite well.
Oh, it is so wonderful to have my parents and sister to help watch her. She is a handful – very active, very loud, very curious. I am happy though, she is a smart little girl. Friends have brought over some toys for her and she has learned where to put the ball to make the music play and watch the ball slide down. She loves music, and happily dances to any beat.
She also is in the mimicking stage. She tries to whistle like great grandpa Mike, play the Indian flute like grandpa Brian, sneeze like grandma Nina, and so much more. We are having a good time.
Isabella also clapped yesterday for the first time. She has been waving hello and good bye for a little while now, but hadn’t clapped yet. We were excited to see that.
We very much MISS daddy though! She has been waking up in the middle of the night and “talking” in her sleep. She says “dadda, dadda” in a tiny little whisper. It is so sweet. She has been doing it every night we are here. Oh, she just woke up from her nap. I will type more later. I have an update of Tyler’s meeting in Lincoln to share.
