Isabella is 8 weeks old this week! This week she was sitting in her swing and she smiled and cooed for the first time at a toy! The fish mobile that is part of the swing made her very happy. I was in the kitchen and I heard her and it was so exciting for me to hear that sound. So later that day I played with a blue and green doggie rattle with her and she smiled and cooed again! I know these things don’t sound that exciting, but to me they are wonderful.
She is socializing with us!
On Sunday, February 9 we took our Princess to Old Navy to look for new clothes. While we were there she had a little accident. Being the loving father my husband is he offered to bring her to the restroom and change her. Half way through the change she decided to pee. Oh, I forgot to mention, her first accident went up her back and soiled her outfit!
My wonderful husband is in the men’s restroom changing my little Bella and having a bit of a crisis. I was oblivious and shopping in peace. The Princess managed to get his shirt soiled too. Too much time was passing and I started getting worried that they were taking too long. Crazy thoughts like Tyler getting knocked out and some psycho stealing my baby and carrying her out the door in a bag started swirling in my head. So I went back to the bathroom to check on them. I yelled towards the door and get a quick response from from my husband that they are almost done. Soon, out comes the two of them – Isabella happily in a new outfit and daddy with white toilet paper stuck to his red fake LaCoste shirt. There wasn’t any paper towels to wipe off poop that got on his shirt so he he tried to use toilet paper.
I don’t know about you all, but that was one funny shopping trip!
