The Ugly Cry

After I had it out with God, after a long week of teething, an eye infection and a stomach bug, I really thought my Little Man would not get sick too.

I mean God couldn’t possibly allow a baby to get a stomach bug. Babies cannot puke and have diarrhea for 48 hours straight, right?

When my Little Man woke up and vomited three times and also had terrible diarrhea, I knew. He caught the bug.

I was angry. Here we are living by the beach and we can’t get out. I begged God to protect him. But here I was holding a sick baby. And it was then that I started crying.

Really crying. You know – the ugly cry.

It is times like these that I am glad I am blessed with a Godly husband. He can talk sense into me. He can support me. He loves me. God doesn’t always answer our prayers how we want Him too. But He will always be there for us. Just like an ever faithful husband.

I got a new shirt this week from Union28. It is their Union28 anniversary shirt. It says “My marriage Still Rocks”. {I am wearing it in the above photo – in Missy size M.} I have one other Union28 shirt. I bought my husband and I matching shirts a couple years ago for Valentine’s Day. You have no idea how many compliments we get on these shirts. My husband even wore his shirt to the labor of our Little Man. The nurses loved it!

I love this grey heather color of the anniversary tee. It is soft and comfy and looks amazing! Right after I put it on, and snapped this photo, my Little Man puked down the back. Covering my back, I was bummed and taking off I got puke in my hair. So I didn’t even get to go out and get massive compliments on it. And believe me, I will get compliments. This shirt is just cool and married people really dig it!

So despite the hard times in your home, in your marriage, or in your spiritual journey, there are always blessings. Focus on the blessings.  But if you need an ugly cry, take one. Then move forward in faith that this too shall pass.
