Stuck At The Park

March 25, 2009 By LaVonne

Spread the love

Well, I did get a couple more things tonight at the $5 baby sale at Old Navy. I didn’t realize when I went on Friday that it was ALL the baby clothes up to 24 months. So I got a couple more dresses and a pair of leggings that will match both. $5 for brand new clothes is a good deal for this mommy.

We went down to the BIG CITY because my husband was starring in a commercial. Yes he is a big star now. Well, it is for a local channel – 27 – which airs 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting Network). It is ran by our local church in the Sacramento area. But, he is a star to me at the very least ๐Ÿ™‚ The filming was being done at a local park. So Isabella and I decided not only would we go to Old Navy but we could also have fun at the park. Well, Tyler’s 12 second part in the commercial took 2 1/2 hours to film! Have any of you been stuck at the park for 2 1/2 hours? I tell you what, this 30 year old mommy is worn out! I played, danced, jumped, walked, entertained, and even sang my little heart out today.

At the end of the evening, when the sun was going down, I decided to get in the car. Isabella loves playing in the front seat and it was warmer. (It was 72 degrees today!) So then she pooped. I did not want to change her, so I prayed. I said, “Lord, help Tyler to get back here, please!” Truly, I prayed for that, so that he could change her poopy diaper. Within five minutes he returned. He cleared the trunk so I could have space and I changed her (his hands were freezing). And it was bad. I have learned that when entertaining children, always have food. So Isabella had rice cakes, raisins and part of my granola bar. So after all that, and a heartfelt prayer, I still had to clean her gross butt. That’s a mommy for you.
