We have a pool here at our new apartment. We have gone every night since we arrived. The first night we blew up those little arm floaties, stuck them on the Princess and she jumped in without hesitation.
After swimming around a little while, she started jumping in from the side! Her head would go all the way under. She held her breath very well.
When she asked to take them off, we thought it might be because they were uncomfortable, but she really wanted to try jumping in without them. We caught her and explained that it was the floaties that were keeping her up. Swimming lessons soon!
We are so proud of her. She is only 2 and loves to swim. Daddy is very happy. He has great visions of them paddling out in the ocean on their surfboards by the time she is 8.
