Anniversary Month! Ideas for Date Night with FREE Printable Cards!

August 2, 2020 By LaVonne

Spread the love

It’s hard to believe that were are already to August. This year has really gone by quickly, despite the facts that we’ve spent so much time at home. And though I see my husband every day (and my kids too), we haven’t been able to enjoy many “date nights” together in this pandemic. What about you?

Are you having a hard time finding date nights during this pandemic? We’ve been having almost no date morning, afternoon, or nights here at the Long house. We really need to be intentional about planning dates.

So in honor of the month of August — it’s our wedding anniversary month, I have a free printable for you. I like to keep my printables with a white background so that don’t take a lot of your printer ink. Here are eighteen easy and fun date night ideas that you enjoy with your partner:

  • five course dinner
  • coffee shop date
  • art museum
  • movie night
  • city day tour
  • watching the city lights
  • joyride in the countryside
  • sunset at the beach
  • karaoke night
  • dancing
  • fondu
  • overnight getaway
  • hiking
  • night camping
  • adrenaline rush date
  • his choice
  • her choice
  • take-out and chill
  • video game night
  • watch a live game
  • relaxing spa evening
  • home movie marathon
  • cook a new dish together
  • try a new restaurant
  • he cooks
  • she cooks
  • wild card

What other date nights would you add to this list? I realize that date nights during pandemic might look different, but most of these date ideas can be adapted for this quarantine time. Now, I need to plan one for hubby and I, especially since it’s our wedding anniversary this month. Which one should we choose first?

How about the kids cook and “wait” your table? I’m sure they’d love playing pretend. We have been making each of our boys cook dinner one night a week. They pick it out in the morning and I get the ingredients in time for them to cook. So far we’ve had potato patties with orange roughy, broccoli cheddar soup and veggie/fish burgers. I’m telling them that it’s homeschool culinary arts!
