She Did It, Again!

February 15, 2010 By LaVonne

Spread the love

She did it again! Last night at the seminar my Princess told me she had to go pee pee. We ran down to the bathroom and she went. Then she didn’t go pee pee all night; she had a completely dry diaper! So we put her on the potty first thing and she went again! Whoo hoo!!!!

Yep, I am writing yet again about pee pee in the potty. See what being a mommy to a toddler does to you? No more witty, poetic, grandiose thoughts on intelligent topics – just excitement over pee pee.

Okay, I do have more great things to share. Warning! This is where my bragging continues. ๐Ÿ™‚

My Princess is quickly learning about “same” and “not same” (she has a hard time saying “different”). Here are three great examples of how she is grasping this concept:

  • Yesterday she was playing in the mother’s room at church and she found a See and Say. (Do you remember those? Man, those things are old.) It was a farm one. As the arrow in the middle took forever to spin around, we would say the name of the animal or sound as it stopped. Out of nowhere my Princess pointed to the farmer in the middle standing by his little pig and then pointed to the big pig along the circle and said “same”.
  • After church, my Princess was coloring. She pulled out the blue crayon and said “blue”. This is the only color she knows really well right now. She can match colors on a puzzle but she doesn’t pick out colors randomly, just blue. She then proceeded to find 8 other blue crayons in the bin and said, “Same”. Isn’t she a genius?
  • Then, when we went to bed she looked down at my shirt and pants and said, “not same” and laughed. I was not wearing the matching pajama top to my pajama bottom and she noticed. In fact, it pretty much clashed. When did I start looking so frumpy when I went to bed? Must have been after I had a baby. (Sorry loving husband.)

She is too cute! Honestly, I can’t wait to look back at all these blog posts and remember these things. Have any of you thought of making a book of your posts? If so, what are some great websites? I have been thinking of doing this.
