Mid-Morning Me-Time: Tea Party for One

Me Time Tea for One

With both the kids in school, and hubby working away from home more often, I have time in the mornings alone. Honestly, you’d think I’d get lonely or tired of being alone, but I love those three and half hours when my son is preschool. I am not ashamed, one bit, to say that either. I usually take those hours for uninterrupted blogging. Before this, I was blogging at night after the kids went to bed. But now, I get to go to bed at a decent time. It has been lovely.

On days when I put my blog on the back burner, I like to stream Netflix, take a bath, half a cup of tea, and journal. All of those things equate to “me-time”, and I feel like this me-time has been a long time coming. Having a tea party for one is actually very nice.

Do you get me-time in your day?

Theres Always Time for Tea Quote

I love the variety of tea that Lipton offers. If I need a little boost mid-morning, I can have a new Lipton Black Tea.  The Enticing Chai – my absolute favorite black tea! It rivals any coffee shop’s chai tea in my opinion. Lately, I’ve been drinking more green tea. My husband doesn’t like the flavor of green tea quite as well, but I’ve really been enjoying it. Lipton’s updated green teas have a light, fresh taste, bright clearer color and delightful aroma. I recommend Orange Passionfruit Jasmine if you like green tea.

Most mornings I like to drink herbal tea. Real ingredients combine with amazing herbal tea blends to awaken the senses. Lipton has some great new herbal tea flavors:

  • Lemon Ginger
  • Peach Mango
  • Berry Hibiscus
  •  Apple Cinnamon

What is your favorite kind of tea?

If you’d like to have a tea party for one, here’s a fun way to make it more special: a printable Tea for One Tea Bag Cover. This would make a great gift for others as well. Simply buy a box of their favorite Lipton tea and wrap a couple in these tea bag covers. Let them enjoy a tea party for one as well!

Sit down, relax, listen to some great folk music (or what every relaxes you) and journal away! I’m telling you, if you can do this at least once per week, you’ll be much happier!

Currently, I’ve been listening to 50 Great Modern Folk Songs on Amazon Prime Music. This playlist has artists like:

  • Passenger

This is so cute! And I love tea. I am not much for coffee but I think a cup of earl grey in the afternoon is just perfect. Will definitely need to check out that playlist, I love all artists you mentioned.

I love Lipton too, but for me it’s the plain stuff. With sugar. Lot of sugar.

Ha! I can drink tea without a sweetener, but never coffee. I like just a bit of honey or splenda in my tea. But I do like to drink Green Tea plain.

Tea is just a honey delivery mechanism for me, but I like the idea of this. 🙂

That’s funny, Denise. I love honey too. My daughter has inherited my love. You should see her cheerios in the morning – those are a honey delivery mechanism for her. LOL!
