Things I Love Thursday: Answered Prayers

July 30, 2009 By LaVonne

Spread the love

God is so good to us. We are blessed! This week He has answered our prayers in two areas. First, my Princess’ rash is almost completely gone. We don’t know what caused it, or what it really was, but I am just thankful we serve a God who cares about the small things like a rash.

The second great news is that we received a letter today from the Pacific Union Conference. About two weeks ago, my wonderful husband, sat before a committee to be interviewed for ordination in the Seventh-day Adventist church. He was 70% sure he would not get it since he did not go to a SDA school or actually work as a pastor. But we prayed that God’s will would be done and we were willing to accept whatever answer came back. The letter came today that stated with great joy he would be ordained! Wow! What an honor and privilege. I will be married to an ordained pastor! Strange, huh? Never thought that one would happen. God is in the business of turning lives around and He sure has changed ours!

Continue to pray for us as we serve Him. Hold us up in prayer as we continue to work in this great work for the Lord.

“Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 NASB

***Edit on ordination: We found out that even though that committee said yes it still goes to one final committee who will then decide. So it is not for sure yet. We are still leaving it in God’s hands.
